22 Apr Medical mission trip was a success!!
This trip felt like a whirlwind. . we have seen so many patients! We got off the plane Thursday and hit the ground running. . to Copprome Orphanage to treat all the kids and adults there. . then to Olivos the same day. .the people in the village are much healthier than they were 6 months ago at our last clinic. . . the doctors were pleased with that. . we brought 2 dentists on this trip so we were able to provide dental care for the first time. . we were exhausted. . getting up at 4 am and finishing at 7 pm. . then dinner and off to bed!
Friday we took off to a new village for us. . Pronino. . about 15 or 20 miles outside of town. . this village is where one of our security guards from Copprome, Angel, lives with his family. . he was so excited when we drove up and set up the clinic. It was in a church in the middle of their little village. . the people were so sweet and we stayed until everyone of them got to see a Doctor and a Dentist.
Then we came back, got cleaned up and went to dinner at JR’s. . a fabulous restaurant here. .
Saturday we had breakfast at 6:30 am so we could leave early to drive 1.5 hours to the village of Remolino. . this village is a project of one of our partners, Humanity and Hope United Foundation. The people there were so happy to have medical help. They were so thankful we were there.
This team worked really hard and seemed to totally enjoy being together! They blessed lots of people the last 3 days. . I can hardly wait to do it all again in September!
