As I sit here this morning and reflect on all the hard work that has gone into our website….I can’t help but look at the way God has put all the pieces together this past year…Our new precious and fantastic friends..Mark and Kimberly Johnson..they have spent countless hours putting everything together and creating our website http://www.hearts2honduras.com/ and let me tell you…it is AMAZING!!! We have spent lots of hours emailing…talking on the phone…and meeting about what goes where!! When I pull it up…I get chills and my heart beats so fast with excitement just looking at my sweet angels from Copprome and all the things God is promising them. We have created a challenge that I believe EVERYONE should participate in!! It is called the “50cents a day challenge” . It costs about 50 cents to feed one orphan one meal. As I think about the change in my purse, sofa and car..I see that I could feed an orphan at least 3 or 4 meals just on insignificant, uncounted and forgotten about money! I mean…when I check my wallet to see what money I have…I never look in the coin part..that is just insignificant..uncounted..forgotten. Then I think NO…every penny is important just like EVERY child God created is important and it is up to us..the people who have SO MUCH to make sure they are taken care of! So, we are not asking for your tithe money…your grocery money…your house payment money..or even your entertainment money…just save your insignificant, uncounted and forgotten money….your change will create their change…50 cents a day….The program we have set up is on our website…you get a jar or a container of some kind out of your cabinets…go to our website and click on “click here to receive details” and you will receive an email giving you instructions and a label for your container (don’t forget to sign our guest list..just put your last name and state/country….it is so much fun to look at and see where everyone who is participating is from)..Just print out the label and tape it around your container…share with your friends and family that you are going to be responsible for feeding a child at least one meal per day!! How exciting is it to be able to…as a family…buy a child a meal? Then…every month..total up your container and send your check to the address you receive in the instructions. You could even start a container at your workplace!! I believe we could feed children ALL OVER THE WORLD with the “50cents a day challenge”!! Won’t you go to the website and sign up? We need you…NO, the orphans around the world need you!! We will start feeding the kids at Copprome Orphanage in El Progreso Honduras and once those financial needs are met in Honduras…we will move on to Haiti, Ethiopia and Uganda. We will be going to these countries and taking the money to buy food for them! With the help of 147 Million Orphans organization….we will feed children ALL OVER THE WORLD!!
