Last but not least…

Last but not least…

Today was an emotional roller coaster for lots of people… It was a sweet day though…we worked at Olivos and did our final VBS for the kids….then we gathered to pray and say our goodbyes….
What starts out as hugs and farewells ends with tears and promises to return…it is amazing how close you can become to people in just one week…the families at Olivos get so sad when we leave…it just breaks my heart….the moms are crying…kids are crying…and all of us are speechless and touched…Tino always has such precious words to leave us with…he thanks God for us and prays for safety as we travel…and he always invites eveyone to return…he said today is a sad day for them…but a happy day for us because we are returning to our families….well…you could of fooled me….
Lots of hearts were softened…lots of spiritual lives renewed…and lots of sweet friendships were made…….

then off we went to Copprome to do our final VBS there…It started storming and we lost electricity…but we still did VBS and spent our last afternoon loving on all of them… several families on this trip sponsor kids…so tears were also shed there…but the rain pouring down seemed to distract some of the emotions…..as we headed out to JR’s Restaurant…a fabulous place to eat our final dinner…  a great time was had by all!
Then back to the hotel for our final share time…it was sweet and honest as we shared how meaningful the week had been….we come to help and serve…to make the lives here a little better…we leave filled with the reality that it was us who needed changing….us who needed to be humbled…us who have been challenged to examine our hearts and make sure we are living for Him and allowing Him to work through us…..time to go back and be a light in the US!!!
