Getting to know each other

Getting to know each other

This mission team is a group from 5 different states. . most of the group just met each other for the first time yesterday! It is really cool how God brings His family together. . . Ty and I both shared with them today how them being in Honduras together this week is no accident. . . part of us worked at Copprome sanding and varnishing the woodwork and the other part at Olivos digging footings for 2 new houses…
It was an extremely hot day and several people decided to just rest instead of going to Copprome for some games and fun…so we took a small group of just 17 to Copprome…it was sweet to watch the interaction between the kids from the US and the Copprome kids…it is always like they have known each other forever…there is no language barrier and they have no problem deciding how to communicate.  It was also sweet to watch them just enjoy hanging out…strangers quickly becoming friends…it is a privilege to continuously watch this cool transition…the smiles, laughter and genuine happiness as they communicate and enjoy each others company…amazing?…no..God’s family…..a common bond with  no language barrier…it is love which we are told constantly in the Bible is the most important command…it is so easy here to love in spirit….with no material assets…love wins..it has to…there is nothing to cloud it such as material possessions and jealousy over “stuff”… it is just an offering of yourself to spend quality time with each other..not in a hurry…not because you have to…but because you want to be there.. you want to make a difference…and in doing so…you have joy like you have never experienced….seeing the joy all over their faces….hmmmm…yes…this is missions…..
