getting the job done!

getting the job done!

Saturday was a great day!  We headed to Mt Olivos  to meet with the ladies  and teach them to make the bracelets that 147 Million Orphans will sell!!!  It was absolutely precious to see the 6 ladies excited about making some money for their famiies!! Their eyes were filled with joy and I know they will do a fantastic job…so all of you please consider these for gifts for the women and girls in your life….they should be online (www.147million orphans.com) by the end of May!   Then we went and bought lots of chicken, beef and hot dogs to fill the freezer at Copprome…these were items that were not on their list of necessities….so they were truly excited to see these in the freezer….I hate for the kids to only have beans as their protein…I know that is the cheapest  thing to buy…but I love for them to have meat!!! Maybe by the end of this year we will have more monthly sponsors so we can buy meat every month for the kids!  We played with the kids and gave out some of the gifts the sponsos sent!  One of my friends (Hinkle’s) sent 2 baseball gloves….so I bought tennis balls …knowing they may kill each other with baseballs…haha…and it was so funny trying to show the boys how to put on the gloves…I grew up playing softball….so this was fun for me!  They were trying to put the glove on their right hand……so I showed them that they have to put it on their left so they could throw with their right….It was hilarious watching their faces as they tried to put on the glove…it felt weird….they were confused why we like this sport so much…but they finally began to get the hang of it….precious moments of teaching them a new sport!   We ended the day taking Lola home and then going to Applebee’s for dinner…just the 4 of us…we giggled and had a sweet family time….then another slumber party at Casa Blanca…I was too tired to write last night…but this morning has been sweet laying around in the room…..snuggling and talking like families do…we are going down to breakfast and will go take all the Copprome kids to a private swim club for the day! They are so excited…we will also rent the soccer field so the kids can have a real game of soccer…look for pics on my facebook tonight!! Blessings to you all!
