Day 3 A rat race. NOT

Day 3 A rat race. NOT

Again…the day started with a fantastic breakfast…pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and fresh watermelon and canteloupe! Then off to the orphanage to see if the rat is still staring down his home from the tree limb….                                                                                                                                What do you think? NO…he was no where to be found! We all decided he found a place to hide inside his new guards building that none of us can see…so at least the rat and the guards have a building with a new roof…I am sure he is in a crevace right under the new roof laughing at all of usf!                                                                                                                                                     We did alot more peachy painting today and the young strong boys including Matt  Stone worked on the chicken house better known as the pollo casa and sealed a concrete roof on the orphanage that was leaking…the boys are looking like they were born here with their skin getting darker and darker!     Rumor has it that one of the 3 hens actually laid an egg this morning while Kenan, Brad and Riley were watching….the story is that the guys went to the chicken house to work….the hen was sitting on her perch just watching them….someone got brave enough to move her..and low and behold…there was an egg!  They were amazed…                                                                                                                       Around 3 we cleaned up and headed to the hotel to shower and prepare for VBS.  The little ones were watching a movie about Daniel  and the Lion’s Den………                                                                                                                  The older ones were doing day 2 of who God is.   Shelton reminded them that it was no coincidence that we were here in Honduras.  That God is all about relationships….and if we have a relationship with Him….we will all be together in Heaven one day…That is the real reason we are in Honduras….to make sure they understand the only relationship that will give them security and peace is the commitment they make to follow Christ. So was the day a success…definitely!!.
