02 Aug August trip…Day #1
We had a great travel day….meeting at the airport at 4:15am and changing planes in Miami…we arrived in Honduras at 1pm! It wasn’t near as hot as it was in June…so it was nice….or maybe we have just gotten used to the hot hot days in Nashville so it doen’t feel like such a huge change! We came to the hotel to check in and get organized and then off to the mall for lunch! We then came back to the hotel and had a sit down..meet and greet…haha….you see we have lots of people on this trip who have never met each other… It is a sweet combination of people from Brentwood, Franklin, Spring Hill, Smyrna, Florida and Arizona! It will be fun watching these sweet hearts work together and get to know each other…One thing is for sure…everyone has a heart for orphans and helping people in need! Then we were off to Copprome for everyone to meet all of the sweet, sweet kids!! Imagine driving up to an orphanage and 42 kids running out to meet you! Yep…that is what happens every time we get there! I know how it makes me feel even after 20 trips….loved, adored, needed and appreciated….It never gets old…it never ceases to amaze me that they are excited EVERY TIME!!! I love bringing new people so they can feel that amazing feeling… and …I love bringing people back…watching them reconnect with the kids that stole their hearts the first time….yes…it feels good…it feels so right…His presence is there as we love love love….
