21 Apr A satanic day….topped with an angel!
So the plan today was all layed out….I mean ….that is how an organized person with only 5 days to accomplish all tasks works….well…our plans went to Hell in a hand bag…Shelton’s phone messed up…which started the day rough…we spent a couple of hours trying to explain we had to have a phone….then we did finish the food shopping for Copprome…thank you Lord….with extra money left over so we can take them swimming Sunday!! WOOHOO….then off to San Pedro Sula…. yes….the protesters from yesterday…they were still camped out and blocking the road to San Pedro Sula…crazy…the locals say human rights is the reason the police don’t use force to make them stop….I won’t even tell you what I am thinking!! I mean…all the cops have machine guns slung over their arms…they look so ferocious!!….Anyway….we did finally get to San Pedro Sula….a large city that I am not very fond of…crowded, dirty, and just uncomfortable…but we needed to go there to find the seeds needed for the bracelets….we did…and it took us forever to get back….when we returned to El Progreso…we had a flat tire…yes…..we had to pull over….get in a cab…go and get a tire specialist…bring him to the car….he changed it….and we were mentally exhausted….we had planned to take Lola’s sweet mom, Elba, to dinner tonight to thank her for all the meals she feeds Shelton and Gaby…..we weren’t sure if we would even be able to do that….we felt stressed and stretched…. but then the evening made the whole day seem worth it!!! We picked up Gabriel for the weekend and all went to dinner at a nice restaurant Lola told us about!! We laughed and ate amazing food. I loved watching Lola, her mom, Shelton and Gaby treat each other like family…laughing and kidding each other as if they had been together forever…it did my momma’s heart good seeing that they had become like a family! It was an angelic end to a hellacious day!
