27 Jun 2013 Honduras Mission Team #3 Day 1
Our day began at the United Airlines counter at 4:00 am in Nashville, TN. . We have families from TN, MS, OH, AL and GA represented on this team! Everyone was too excited to be sleepy. . except for the parents who came to see their daughters off. . We have 5 High School girls on this trip who are going without their parents. . 2 of them have gone on this trip before. . and the other 3 have joined them this year.. .
Everything was smooth traveling here…Shelton, Aaron and Raul met us at the airport.. Aaron came down last week and spent the time with Shelton and Gabriel just helping prepare for the group. W
e came to the hotel… unloaded and then off to the mall for lunch!
Then we went to Olivos and Copprome just to visit and introduce everyone to the 2 sites we would be working at this week! Several of our team members have been before and it is always so sweet to see them return and the people of Olivos and kids at Copprome get so excited! It is a sweet reunion to watch…
We then came back to the hotel for dinner and a quick look at what we are going to study this week in our devo time at night….Forgotten God…by Francis Chan…we are going to talk about the Holy Spirit and what surrendering to Him really means….
It should be a fantastice week..lots of sweet hearts and serving hands are in this group!!
