04 May I see chicken houses in our future!!
Today was such a fun day!! We started our day with breakfast at the hotel with Hollie and Israel Holliday and their 4 kids! Then off to Copprome to pick up Raquel to go “shopping” to buy a month’s worth of food! Thank you so much to all of you who donated…the shopping spree was crazy but fun!! We loaded up the Holliday’s Suburban with rice, beans, chicken, eggs, sugar….etc….3 buggies full!! Then back to the orphanage to unload it!! Of course, the kids all ran out to help when we drove up! Just like our kids in America right?? Just cannot wait to come and help unload groceries!! Haha!
Then we went to lunch at the mall and let the Holliday kids play some games and run around! We took a couple of kids from the orphanage too…Then back to Copprome to hang out with everyone!
Sister Teresita and Katharina invited Shelton and I to go to dinner at a local spot with a few of their friends…2 doctors who were here on a medical brigade and 3 local women who help out! It was my first time to eat at a restaurant outside the mall! It was delicious! We had the Honduran version of fajitas…which is spicy vegetables…fantastic salsa…hot beans and cheese….fried bananas….and chicken, beef, pork and chorizon!! It was really good ….their chips are a lot thicker here…homemade but not nearly as thin!
Had a couple of good meetings while at Copprome to map out what jobs we will do this summer on our trips…I see chicken houses in our future!! Can’t wait to bring everyone here!!
