Day 5/6 Honduras January 31, 2010
Wow…Sunday morning started with my eyes opening up to 3 beautiful teenage girls..2 of them had their eyes open and were just lying there…enjoying the morning…Gaby, who was in bed with me, was still sound asleep…We just stayed there enjoying the moment and smiling and waving at each other…typical slumber party…soon the TV came on (they don’t have TV’s…only 1 that is kept locked up to use only for movie time) and we watched the top 10 music videos and then Nickelodeon! It was a sweet sweet time…Then up to get showers and meet Ty for breakfast! We had a big breakfast and headed for the mall. We let the girls go in and pick out some personal items they needed…like shampoo, razors, lotion, perfume, etc….they were so excited! We also picked up gifts for everyone at Copprome. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were all smiling and laughing as Ty drove the truck around El Progreso…the girls did not have to go back to Copprome until 2 and they did not want to arrive a second sooner! But 2:00 came and we arrived at Copprome ready to grill hamburgers and have our birthday party for January, February and March birthdays. It was a sweet afternoon…but the heaviness of leaving was wearing on my heart….it is funny how being in Honduras with the kids is so sweet and peaceful…leaving them is so hard…they hug and kiss bye….over and over…but they do know that I will return! As I sit here in Ft Lauderdale airport…I am thinking back on the wonderful week we experienced…We have lots of work and improvements to do at Copprome and we are so excited to get it done! Lots of huge jobs to be done that will hopefully change the lives of the poor village of Barria….God is bigger than any of these jobs and He will see us through….I pray for all of you to experience the love that is overflowing at Copprome!!
