01 Jun Raccoons be gone!
Day 1 of this trip in Honduras is long but awesome!! As I sit here with 5 hours of sleep under my belt…I just have to share what a great day it has been!!! Ty, my brother, and I arrived at 10:45 am and have been meeting and working and making lists all day!! We have so many great things to accomplish this summer….I can hardly wait to bring everyone here….With all the great workers we will have….there will definitely be a great harvest!!
Two chicken houses must be built!! One at the orphanage…the raccoons keep getting in and eating the chickens!! (the last trip here…I thought they were telling me the rats were getting them…I had these horrible visions of huge rats…so glad to know they were raccoons!!) The other chicken house will be built at Mt. Olivos…the village we are helping build.
This week we are funding and organizing the well for Mt. Olivos!! The sweet people there are so excited….I told them today “let’s build the well manana” and just watching their faces light up and the smiles were worth no sleep at all last night!!
Being here feels so right and so familiar now…I love these people…and I know you will too!!
We are working on our fundraiser Monday night June 13th at Puckett’s in Franklin!! Please be a part of this exciting adventure!! You will be blessed and will help so many people survive this life we call hard…let’s make it a little easier by giving!!
If you cannot come…please go to our website www.hearts2honduras and make a donation to help us buy the supplies needed to complete the jobs this summer!!!
Blessings and love to you all!!
