18 Jul Day 6. . Swimming. . salvation . .and the mall
We slept in a little today…ate breakfast ….shopped for souvenirs and then headed to take the Copprome kids swimming! They were all so precious…I am not gonna lie…some definitely need swim suits…but they did not care what they had on…some wore shorts… some had on unmatching tops and bottoms…and some had on their whitey tideys!! It was a fun time for all of them…there was even a soccer game going on that some of our kids participated in! It was pretty perfect that a storm blew in at just the right time for us to leave for our church service at Copprome… We met in the cafeteria with the rain pouring down as we were singing Yo tengo gozo and Christo me ama….the kids were so precious as they were singing and doing all the hand motions! Then Shelton talked about salvation and how good works are not how you get to heaven…he explained what having a relationship with God is all about…talking to God daily..not just on Sunday….he allowed them to come forward at the end if they wanted to accept Jesus into their heart so they can spend eternity in heaven…and 7 of them came forward and prayed the prayer of salvation…..it was a sweet day!! Then off to shower and get ready for dinner…we took 8 of the girls to the mall tonight between ages 10 and 15 to have dinner and do a little shopping….they were so proud of their purchases!! As they dropped us off at the hotel…they were yelling out the windows of the bus gracias…with tears in our eyes…we went inside to discuss what tomorrow will bring…We are renting a bus to take us to the falls tomorrow…and then to Copprome for our final fiesta…tomorrow will be exciting and sad at the same time! Leaving here on Tuesday will be so hard….but it is so cool that there are lots more people who are aware of what is going on in El Progreso!
