11 Nov Copprome is now baking!!!
Today we purchased 6 new(waterproof) mattresses, a new toilet, ink for their printer, lots of paper and an oven!! Copprome has had an oven on their wish list for years….and today….we bought them one!! It will be delivered tomorrow!! I can hardly wait to see the faces of the ladies who prepare the meals when they see it! It has 6 gas eyes and a huge oven and even a warming tray in the bottom!! The things we take for granted are the things that these people often live without…. An oven….just think about all of the things you would have to give up if you did not have an oven…Not even a toaster oven!! But NO MORE …Copprome can now bake cookies and cakes and even keep food warm!! So yes, we accomplished a lot today!! We located a place to rent a nice van for next summer’s mission trips…and made some important decisions about what those would look like! Riley, our Mt Olivos partner from North Carolina, arrived today and we all went to Mt. Olivos to see the beginnings of the first house of the village!! The people in the village are so excited about what we hope to accomplish in 2012. Tomorrow at 3:30 we meet with the mayor about matching our fundraising for these houses! Please say a prayer that this meeting will be successful….It is so exciting to see all of your hearts as you partner with Hearts2Honduras in making a difference here in El Progreso, Honduras… May God continue to bless you as you give to those less fortunate…the least of these…isn’t that what we are all called to do? To love like Jesus loved…it is so easy to do here…I pray that all of you can come here in 2012 and help us build hope for these precious people!!
